

Swinging streamers for kings
Yesterday i spent the morning on the river swinging streamers for kings, looking for the aggression strike. Between Nolan, Kelsey and I we landed to many to count, lost to many to count and by the end of the morning my 3'' rabbit fur tail was down to 1''. This time of year is a great time to sight fish for chinooks and when you have a few big males chasing each other, it's the perfect time to swing the biggest streamer in front of them to create an aggression strike. River Brown Trout and Chinooks
Yesterday I met my buddy (photographer) and his girlfriend on the river in search of Browns and chinooks. As I was standing on the bank finishing my coffee Kelsey yelled "I have one!" As I looked up I saw her fly rod bowed over and a very nice brown thrashing away. After a 15min fight Nolan had it in the net. She had just landed her biggest brown around 10lbs. Weekend full of steelhead
While running back from Minnesota I checked the river flows and noticed that they all bumped up to perfect levels. Friday I took a coworkers husband out for steelhead and it didn't take long to tie into my first fish. Since Tony is brand new to steelheading I let him reel it in on my Raven Tackle 14' IM8 rod and Matrix fully ported reel. Spring is on the horizion
Today I met up with a buddy and his two friends on the river for a few hours of hunting chrome. It didn't take long to get a first timer into his first steelhead (3 drifts actually).
