

Ice Fishing for steelhead
Even though this is a little late seeing all the ice is off the Root river due to recent warm weather and rain but just before it hit I had the pleasure of running the best guide trip of the winter. I met three guys on the root and showing them how to set a few automatic fishermen I got the three of them jigging and showed them how to use the vexliar's. i wasn't able to get all the lines set before the action started. Team Extreme Lake Menomin 2016
This past weekend kicked off the Team Extreme (WI) Ice Series on Lake Menomin. Just like last year it was a cold one! Pre fishing went great and I had my game plan set by noon on Saturday. Sunday morning with -17 degrees started off rough. When temps are that cold my four wheeler does NOT like to play nice. Weekly Review 1-6-15
This past week has been outstanding on the rivers with a ton of steelhead a few brown trout being caught. Depending on the day, the fish were sitting on the edge of the water one day but then in current the next. I ran a half day trip today and my client and his son got into a real nice female brown and two steelhead. Trip to the UP of MI
Since the first tournament of the Team Extreme Ice Series was cancelled this past weekend, I decided to take a run north to the UP of MI and hit some waters I haven't fished in many years.
