Outstanding two days of charters
Sunday was a blast out of Bender Park in Oak Creek, the morning charter went 10-15 with a mix of steelhead, brown trout, a 9lb coho and small chinook. I tried as hard as I could to find 1 laker for the slam with no avail. The PM charter went 8-11 (one shaker went back), fishing was a little slower to start as I gave them the option of going for a limit of 4-8lb fish or 1 or 2 big fish. They decided to go for broke and get a few big fish. I set up in 40fow and while settin

Great weekend of trolling on Lake Michigan
This past weekend has had it's up and downs but overall it was a great weekend. I started out Friday evening after a line of thunderstorms passed and ended up 4-8 in only a few hours of fishing with a good friend. Sunday i got out with new clients who asked if I could come on their boat and show them how to run it. With the lack of gear, I couldn't have been happier how the day went. We ended up going 7-13 and the biggest fish was a 15lb steelhead! Monday i decided to ma

Triple Header
Tuesday morning, I got out with another Raven Tackle Pro Staffer for a few hours of trolling on Lake Michigan. It didn’t' take long for the action to start despite the large waves. Shortly after losing that fish my next rod peeled back with a 5lb steelhead. We worked out to my wave points I was on the previous day and as I looke

Lake Michigan Grand Slam
I got out Monday morning with a good friend and decided to run a little deeper than usual. I set up just shy of one of my deeper wave points and it didn't take long to get into some healthy chinooks and cohos. As I was in the process of straightening up the boat 5mins after getting all the rods set, the first board went screaming back. While Brittany was fighting that fish, I looked over and saw my down rigger bouncing away. That fish ended up getting off but we started the m

Brew City 2016
Saturday I competed in the 2016 Brew City Salmon Tournament hosted out of Milwaukee WI. I had no clue where I was going to fish seeing Friday was a horrible day starting by cracking my oil reservoir cap and having to drive close to 100 miles round trip to get one. At 0530 when we were released I decided to let the entire field blow past me to see where the majority of them were going. As I suspected everyone blew north, which was my game plan but after seeing NOAA was a hair
