Weekly Review 12-27-15
This past week started off red hot (view red hot steelhead article). But it didn't take long for all the rivers to flood out again. As of yesterday 12-26, both the Root and Milwaukee were blown out and the Oak Creek was extremely low. I spent the afternoon walking the Oak Creek with the fly rod and missed one buck brown and heard of a few other fish on beds but overall it was extremely slow. Christmas Day on the other hand I decided to take the boat out of McKlinley Marin

Brew City Salmon Tournament
Saturday, August first I competed in my first Brew City Salmon Tournament hosted out of McKinley Marina in Milwaukee WI. After a new boundry was set preventing fishing within 200yrds from the gaps and pier heads, I decided to roll the dice and make a run 13mi south to the Oak Creek Power Plant. Shortly after arriving where I wanted to fish I had a short hit on my 3 color leadcore while setting rods. Once all rods were set I had another short hit on the 3 color and two trip

First day trolling on Lake Michigan
With a week of high winds, I took the advantage of light winds Thursday to break in my new Mercury 6 horse kicker and was some spoons. After working the area I fished most of last year's Salmon-A-Rama with no avail, I poked out to 60fow. I spent a little while working a near by wreck and without any action I decided to turn west and head straight towards the Oak Creek Power Plant. Within a few minutes my fishing partner yelled "There's one!" I turned my head to see my outs
