Phenomenal trolling in April
This month has been a blast out on the big pond trolling for brown trout. The first day the winds cooperated was April 2nd and we ended up going 10-12 in only a couple short hours with some very quality browns and one bonus 15lb laker. The winds decided to not play nice and kept me off the water for the past week in a half but I got back on the water on April 11th after a cold snap moved in and shut the fishing down but my cousin and buddy still ended up going 4-10 while scouting some different water. The 12th was a whole different ball game where it only took 2 hours to get my clients 7 brown trout and 3 cohos (they opted to toss two bigger browns back and missed one other.) The 13th I made a last minute call and hit the water with another charter captain for an evening run and just like the day before it was fast and furious. It only took 1.5hrs to get our 10 fish and that was including missing 3 other hits. Yesterday the 14th I got out with my cousin and another buddy with the sole goal to get 15 fish. Well we ended up going 15 for 19 in three hours 13 browns and 2 cohos. It's nice seeing a few cohos starting to show up and it's only going to get better as we lead into May. If you would like to get in on this fantastic fishing, give me a call or send me an email.
