Spring is coming but there's plenty of ice fishing left

With the recent warm up, the fish are chewing and the rivers are opening up. Lately I have been spending more of my time on a couple of inland lakes running trips for bluegills and crappies. The size of bluegills has been awesome with plenty of 8-9''ers and a couple of 9.5''ers being caught. It's always fun teaching clients how to read a Vexilar FLX-28 and how to tight line. Small dark color jigs with red spikes, orange plastics and pink plastics has been producing.

The harbors have been extremely tough as of late but I foresee that to change with steelhead starting to move in. Shiners and spawn on Automatic fisherman have been taking half the fish and jigging spoons, jigs with spawn and Rapala Slab and Rippin' Raps have also caught fish.

The rivers have started opening up and there's no shortage of steelhead to be caught.

If you're looking for a ice or river trip, do not hesitate to give me a call or send me a message. Also I have been starting to book trips for late April/early May for coho's on the boat.
