January update

with only being a week into January, it has been extremely busy and only getting busier. Browns and steelhead have been tricky to find and catch in the harbors but getting off the beaten path in the rivers have been the trick. Friday, we only had one swing and miss with a shiner on an Automatic fisherman but took 4 fish (including one fully loaded female coho) and missed two others jigging. White tinsel jig was the star followed up by a Rapala Slab Rap. Saturday I ran my first inland trip on Wind Lake which was a giveaway that The Beef Jerky Outlet on S. 27th St. in Franklin WI raffled off. Fishing was ungodly tough but my clients did a great job putting a mix of gills, pumpkinseeds and two crappies topside along with one pike on the Automatic fisherman. It never gets old seeing the smile on someone's face when they stick their first fish through the ice. I still have plenty of week days open for trips and shack rentals but my weekends are pretty booked solid. To book a trip, give me a call or send me an email. Also I have new brown trout roe for spawn sacs for sale. $6 per doz or 10 doz for $50.
