NAIFC 17' Chisago Lake MN

This past week I received a bunch of messages asking if I was still alive because I haven't posted anything this week. Yes I am still alive (barley). But I was in Minnesota pre fishing for a NAIFC Tournament on Lake Chisago. Needless to say, if you can't catch a bluegill on this lake you should sell all your gear. The fishing was insane but it took all the way up to Saturday at 3pm to finally find crappies. Luckily they stayed put that night for the tournament on Sunday. Josh and I had a game plan of him going big and staying high for crappies while I worked for gills and pumpkinseeds close ot the bottom. By 10am out game plan worked out as we had our 8 and 8. We kept working around and picking up a few upgrader fish with one being a 1/2lb pumpkinseed and a .70lb crappie. For never fishing this lake before I am very pleased with our 11th place finish and a total weight of 7.44lbs. This week is going to be set aside for getting things fixed, refilling on my beef jerky outlet store jerky and turning my attention to Mendota this up coming weekend. Here are a few pictures from this past week.
