Trolling the big pond in the new rig

I finally got a break in the everything but west wind on Tuesday so I decided to capitalize on it. My tournament partner and I hit Lake Michigan around 0900 and after checking quite a few areas from 40fow to 15fow with nothing to show for it, I decided to make a run a little north and good thing I did! It didn't take long for my Lowrance to light up with bait and I knew it was only a matter of time before one of my flicker shad where going to fire. All of a sudden I head one of my Shimano Talora's fire with a nice 3-4lb coho tail dancing behind the boat then it was game on! The first pass we stuck two cohos and a lake trout while missing a handful of other hits. With fishing turning on I decided to keep making figure 8's through the area and the final total was 5 cohos and the one lake trout in the box along with missing a bunch of other fish and one decent chinook right behind the boat after it decided to run into my inside board. Only a few more things to tweek and "breaking rods" will be ready for Salmon-A-Rama, Brew City and the Burnout Bash.
