Outstanding two days of charters

Sunday was a blast out of Bender Park in Oak Creek, the morning charter went 10-15 with a mix of steelhead, brown trout, a 9lb coho and small chinook. I tried as hard as I could to find 1 laker for the slam with no avail. The PM charter went 8-11 (one shaker went back), fishing was a little slower to start as I gave them the option of going for a limit of 4-8lb fish or 1 or 2 big fish. They decided to go for broke and get a few big fish. I set up in 40fow and while setting my third rod, the first one fired but got off. We proceeded to hit 2 more big fish that both came unbuttoned. After making a swing in shallow I made a decision to pull lines and run out to the water I was in during the morning. While setting my second rod, I went to attach my Churchs Tackle planer board and I felt a "thunk", I told my clients "there's one" and handed the rod off. It didn't take long to get a little 2lb chinook to the boat. We worked the structure for a few more hours and picked off a handful of 2-3lb chinooks, lake trout and cohos. They weren't the biggest but my clients were happy seeing those are the better tasting fish. Monday I got an ice fishing legend Diamond Doug Bussian out and we went 6-10, losing two fish that were over 10lbs. But he was happy as a clam bringing in a 16lb brown.
